Colors can do all the magic sometime and that was the thought that guided Dr. Anju while designing her wedding day. A post graduate student in medicine, Anju had a clearly etched out picture of her wedding and she knew from the beginning that all the dazzling colors would be an integral part of it. All those reverberant colors should imply that they have come together to celebrate her wedding and that was the thread that we worked on. But she had a sole concern and it was regarding the wedding eve; since the function was slotted at an evening schedule, would the colors take charge at night or would it be too subtle in the glory of the night? That was the moment when we decided on using the rocking NEON colors to adorn her special night. We embarked on the astonishing fluorescence in fabrics that stood out in the night and it was lucid that the theme was neon all the way.
A divan was centered in the bridal nest with decorated neon cushions latched on it. Albeit marigold flowers were the predominant flowers used for decoration, varieties of amusing properties were also infused that were stringed among beads. These beads hung from different sides of the divan where the bride was seated for Mehendi. To make the night more fun-filled, cycle rickshaw was lodged at the venue mainly to accentuate the photo booth. Stylish pictures were clicked on this rickshaw which is a curious vintage object exclusive to Calicut, Kerala. The intention behind the cycle rickshaw was to introduce something different and which would incite the excitement of those around. It indeed was a view watching close people hopping in with the bride to pose for the camera and these funky images would definitely go down in posterity.
Brine counters of raw mango, pineapple, gooseberries and beetroot were also positioned at the venue; they contributed to give a more indigenous feel to the event. The sight of these veggies and fruits bottled up is indeed an eye candy with different flavors interplaying on the taste buds. Now, our client wanted something different as far as the main courses were concerned; they opted for complete North Indian recipes. Thus it was a typical “north meeting south” milieu that played out at the Mehendi night of Dr. Anju. To give a perfect finish, ear worming live Ghazal in the background lent a soothing ambience to the event that was in sync with the mood of the night.
The scenario was more contemporary then because neon had conquered and showed its impact on wardrobes, accessories, bags, shoes etc. There were even neon nail paints in the market. Neon lights are prominently used in youth centers and other epicenters of attraction for a long time now. Hence it was an easy way to connect for all with the customized neon theme. We are proud to have put up this event flawlessly and indeed had a great time associating with Dr. Anju and family.
